Cromargan®
Cromargan® is the registered trademark of WMF for 18/10 rustproof stainless steel. Steel is refined from a mixture of other metals and is thus more reliable in its features. Cromargan® consists of an alloy made of 18 % chrome, 10 % nickel and 72 % steel. Chrome makes the material rust-proof, nickel makes it acid-resistant and gives it shine.
The combination guarantees high performance characteristics. Cromargan® sets of cutlery are stable in shame, flavour-neutral and resistant to all acids. They are hygienic, easy to clean and dishwasher-safe.
TransTherm universal base®
The Transtherm universal base from WMF consists of a strong aluminium core that is enclosed in a chrome steel capsule. Thus, the aluminium can no longer be corroded by aggressive washing up liquid. The food cannot get stuck on the exterior. The saucepan can be cleaned particularly easily and comfortably. The Transtherm universal base is suitable for all types of hob, including induction cookers, because the chrome steel used for the capsule is magnetic.
